The performance issues we were running into with our NAS across a 50Mbps WAN link have been fixed. This issue ended up being a flaky Fiber ONU on one end of the WAN link. The ISP replace this ONU with a Cisco 3400 switch and all of our problems went away.

A lot of very good stuff if it works as well as it is supposed to. The automatic network performance tweaking could really improve getting the most out of your network. I have heard that some older home routers have problems with this automatic network tuning.

I have added a nice free bandwidth calculator under Misc Links called Networking Assistant.
It does bandwidth transfer calculations, IP subnet calculations, and also includes a password generator.
