More Vista Fun with VPN (Continues)
by admin on Feb.19, 2007, under Networking, Systems, VPN, Vista
Well the issues with Cisco VPN clients and Vista continues. The past posts including: More Vista Fun with VPN, have fixed most of the issues with most of the users.
Unfortunately one of our users has started having the following issue.
Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client.
Reason 440: Driver Failure.
We have not found a workaround for this error yep but we are trying the latest and greatest Cisco VPN client 5.0.00.0090. I will keep this post up to date with changes to this issue and other Vista/VPN issues.
*Update* This version is running great so far, driver error above was fixed with this version.

Everything looks to be working with this version on Vista. It took them plenty of time to fix the problems but this one seems to be stable.
If anyone continues to have problems after install this version could you please comment here. I would like to know.

This is the official version and the most stable so far. You are going to have a hard time finding a place to download these new clients without a Cisco login since they have export restrictions.
If you have any Cisco contracts you should be able to request a login for downloads from Cisco. Otherwise find someone who does her one and get it from them.
